Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Volunteer Events Coordinator/Host to oversee our series of engaging webinars designed to engage and educate newcomers to Canada. This role involves hosting webinars designed to inform and inspire our audience. If you have a passion for organizing, enjoy hosting events, and love helping the community, we’re looking for you!

Your Impact

  • Coordinate and host virtual events.
  • Engage with speakers, attendees, and community partners.
  • Manage event logistics, including scheduling, invitations, and technical setup.
  • Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment for all participants.
  • Facilitate Q&A sessions and interactive discussions during webinars.
  • Provide follow-up communications and resources to attendees post-event.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Experience in event planning or coordination.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passionate about issues facing immigrant and newcomer.
  • Familiarity with webinar platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.) is a plus.
