Job Description:

  • A new opportunity has arisen for a skilled Customer Support Service Technician like you, to oversee and bring expertise to our team.
  • As a Customer Support Service Technician in MTU Singapore, you will primarily be responsible for engine overhaul, repair and troubleshooting related tasks.
  • Rolls-Royce Power Systems is headquartered in Friedrichshafen in southern Germany and employs around 9,000 people. The product portfolio includes mtu-brand high-speed engines and propulsion systems for ships, power generation, heavy land, rail and defence vehicles and for the oil and gas industry as well as diesel and gas systems and battery containers for mission critical, standby and continuous power, combined generation of heat and power, and microgrids.

  • Minimum Diploma / Degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering.
  • At least 2 – 3 years of experience in the diesel engine / generator industry.
  • Experience in troubleshooting, project handling/execution, servicing and commissioning.
  • Communicates effectively, has a strong initiative and ability to work under pressure.
  • Possess logical and analytical skills
  • Highly independent, and an excellent team player.


  • Handle tasks by yourself, including commissioning, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing or overhauling MTU engines and related products.
  • Ability to handle technical issues and finish services in accordance with the work order so that clients can approve them.
  • Test the acceptability of the systems and equipment on actual or potential clients.
  • If necessary, make repairs or adjustments.
  • When appropriate, provide service/investigation reports.
  • Create and submit a trip report detailing the project’s completion and progress at work.
