Access Bank Climate Leadership Fellowship 2024 | Cohort 6

Applications are now open for the sixth cohort of the Access Bank Climate Leadership Fellowship 2024. Climate change is having a severe impact on the entire world, including Nigeria.

Drought, desertification, flooding, and disrupted rainfall patterns are major challenges for the country, all of which have a negative impact on health, wellbeing, and the environment.

Agricultural yields in the north have plummeted, resulting in high poverty rates, while the south faces severe flooding and waterborne diseases.

In response to these challenges, Climate Smart Nigeria, in partnership with Glow Initiative for Economic Empowerment and supported by Access Bank PLC, is investing in a new generation of young energy leaders to drive energy transition and climate action across Nigeria.

After training, fellows will adopt a school or community to teach climate education, grooming young leaders to promote a climate-resilient nation.
